Investment attractiveness of residential real estate in Russia and abroad among high-income audience


In late 2021, ResearchView conducted qualitative study of high-income audience’s changing habits and attitudes to real estate investments in Russia and other countries in times of COVID-19. Even though today there are a various number of investment instruments, real estate remains one of the most effective due to its reliability and clarity.

The driving force for investors in Russian real estate market is a good knowledge of the target audience and its needs, while other wealthy people also want to use property for personal purposes when investing in real estate abroad.

Moreover, before pandemic situation people tended to buy property in Europe (Spain, Italy, Germany, etc.), but now UAE (especially Dubai and Abu-Dhabi) is the most prospective and dynamically developing region for investors because of its advantages, such as absence of annual property tax, climate, security level, etc. In terms of interior finishing, the most significant factors are panoramic window, high quality and eco-friendly finishing materials. The UAE is expected to maintain its attractiveness for at least the next decade.
